Fire-fighting elevator is an elevator with certain functions for fire-fighting and rescue by fire-fighting personnel in case of fire in buildings. Because ordinary elevators are often stopped in case of fire because of power failure and smoke and fire prevention, it is necessary to set up fire elevators, whose main functions are: for firefighters to carry fire-fighting equipment into the upper floors to put out fires; to rescue and evacuate injured or old, sick and disabled people; to avoid the formation of "collision" between firefighters and evacuees on the evacuation stairs ", not only delaying the fire fighting opportunity, but also affecting the evacuation of personnel; preventing firefighters from climbing up through the stairs for a long time, consuming, not enough physical strength to ensure that they can quickly put into battle.

Firefighting elevators are usually equipped with perfect firefighting functions::

1、It should be dual power supply, that is, in case the power supply of the working elevator of the building is interrupted, the very power supply of the fire-fighting elevator can be automatically put together and can continue to run.

2、It should have emergency control function, that is, when there is a fire on the upper floor, it can accept the instruction to return to the first floor in time, and no longer continue to accept passengers, and can only be used by firefighters.

3、It should reserve an emergency evacuation exit at the top of the car, so that in case the opening mechanism of the elevator fails to work, it can also be evacuated from here.

4、A special telephone should be provided in the car of the fire-fighting elevator, and a special manipulation button should be provided on the first floor.

5、The decoration materials inside the fire-fighting elevator must be non-combustible building materials. The power and control wires of the fire-fighting elevator should be waterproof, and the entrance of the fire-fighting elevator should be equipped with waterproof measures of diffuse slope.

6、The load capacity of the fire-fighting elevator should not be less than 800 kg, and the plane size of the car should not be less than 1 m × 1.5 m. Its role is to carry larger fire-fighting apparatus and place the life-saving stretcher, etc.

Usage of fire-fighting elevator:

1、After the firefighters arrive at the front room of the fire elevator on the first floor, they first use the hand axe or other hard objects they carry to break the glass piece protecting the fire elevator button, and then put the fire elevator button in the on position. Due to different manufacturers, the appearance of the button varies, some only have a small "red dot" painted on one end of the button, and the end with the "red dot" can be pressed down when operating; some have two operating buttons, the black button is marked with English "OFF", the red button is marked with English "ON", the operation will be marked with "ON" red button pressed down to enter the fire state.
