Fire-fighting elevator is an elevator with certain functions for fire-fighting and rescue by fire-fighting personnel in case of fire in a building. Fire elevators usually have perfect fire-fighting functions: they have dual power supply, i.e. in case the power supply of the working elevator in the building is interrupted, the emergency power supply of the fire elevator can be automatically put together and can continue to run. It has emergency control function, i.e. when there is a fire on the upper floor, it can accept the instruction to return to the first floor in time, and not continue to accept passengers, and can only be used by firefighters. It reserves an emergency evacuation exit at the top of the car, so that in case the opening mechanism of the elevator fails to work, it can also be evacuated from here. For the main part of the high-rise civil building, one fire elevator should be set up when the floor area does not exceed 1500 square meters; two fire elevators should be set up when the floor area exceeds 1500 square meters but is less than 4500 square meters; three fire elevators should be set up when the area of each floor exceeds 4500 square meters.
